The Georgia District Attorney Is Investigating R. Kelly On Criminal Charges
Since the conclusion of Surviving R. Kelly, people have been asking, “What’s next?” And it seems now, there’s an answer.
According to The Blast, TMZ and other outlets, the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office (in Georgia) has opened an investigation based on the allegations made against the defamed R&B singer in the six-hour Lifetime documentary.
After docs-series aired, investigators were flooded with calls. As a result, they launched an investigation, reaching out to several women featured in the series, including Asante McGee, one of the many women who lived in and eventually escaped Kelly’s former home in Atlanta. The attorney for Jocelyn Savage’s family is also reportedly working with investigators.
According to The Blast, authorities have been in contact with Jocelyn Savage, one of the women who claims to be living with Kelly willingly, and she’s been ordered to come in for questioning about the home, the singer and more.
One of the charges they’re pursuing is false imprisonment.
Investigators are also looking for contact information of any other people who may have lived in the home in Atlanta or have direct knowledge about what may have transpired there.
