A few months ago, “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” star Tommie Lee was arrested after she showed up at her daughter’s school where she proceeded to shove the child’s head into a locker.
She was subsequently charged with battery, aggravated assault and child cruelty.
At the time, there were several people who excused Tommie’s actions as discipline. But the authorities didn’t see it that way.
According to TMZ, Lee has been indicted on multiple child abuse charges. In addition to slamming her head into a locker, she slapped her daughter on the hands with her purse strap, slapped her across the face, and dragged her down the hall by her hair.
Tommie faces 7 charges in the indictment, 3 of which were felonies. The rest are misdemeanors. If she’s convicted on all seven, prosecutors could serve up to 54 years in prison.
Lee was arrested twice for this altercation, once for the assault itself and then less than 24 hours later for violating a court order to stay away from her daughter. Tommie went to see her daughter less than three hours after she was released from jail.
This is just one of many incidents in which Lee has been arrested over the past two years. Perhaps this is the reason Tommie will not be coming back to “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.”
