Acne as a teen or preteen is one of the telltale signs of puberty, which is why it can be confusing (and annoying) to still struggle with breakouts when you’re well into your 20s and 30s. Unfortunately, it happens, but the good news is it doesn’t have to. We chatted with dermatologist and Dove partner Dr. Rosemarie Ingleton about struggling with pimples when you’re more pre-menopause than pre-pubescent and she told us there are two important words every adult acne sufferer needs to know when it comes to the products they use on their face, specifically makeup: non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic.
