Consider financial offers
I, personally, throw away pretty much any piece of mail from a bank or credit card company that shows up. I worry that the deals look too good to be true or that I’ll miss some small print and get screwed. My father—and several financially savvy men I know—takes on these offers. They read the fine print, make sure to know it inside and out, and learn to game the system so they come out on top with many of these offers. I’d like to do that more often. My dad has received free money and free airfare because he opened those financial offers, read the fine print, and set things up and cancelled things at just the right time to win the game.
