(New York Times) — In the week since a college student was shot and killed by the police outside a bar in Thornwood, N.Y., there has been a wealth of grief and accusations, but little clarity about whether the shooting was justified.  The Pace University student, Danroy Henry Jr., was shot by local police officers who were responding to a crowd spilling from a bar. They found Mr. Henry, 20, sitting in his parked car in a fire lane, and knocked on his vehicle’s window, the police said.  Mr. Henry sped away, knocking one officer onto his car’s hood and clipping another with its side-view mirror. The officer on the hood and a third officer fired into the windshield of the car, one bullet killing Mr. Henry and another grazing a passenger.
