(AP) — Two of Africa’s wealthiest businessmen announced a major investment in the struggling Lions team on Tuesday, pledging to turn around South Africa’s former rugby powerhouse and attract more support from black fans.Robert Gumede and Ivor Ichikowitz bought a 49.9 percent stake, said the Johannesburg-based Lions. Billionaire Gumede, now the first black shareholder in a major South African rugby team, said he wanted the Lions to regain their “cult status” among “all South Africans.”
