Remy Ma Found In Contempt Of Court For Failure To Pay Vincent Herbert & Release Documents
You may recall that Vincent Herbert was rapper Remy Ma’s manager for a time. But it was right around the time, we learned that Tamar Braxton had filed for divorce from her husband Vincent Herbert and the rapper eventually cut ties with him, claiming that he had other, more pressing matters to attend to—referencing his divorce.
The two parted ways but apparently, Herbert is currently involved in a legal battle with music company LDNX. As a result, Remy was asked to turn over financial documents concerning the work she did with Herbert. Remy failed to do so, and as a result, a judge has held her in contempt and issued a subpoena, giving her a month to answer questions regarding their work together and how much money he may be owed for their work together.
Remy was ordered to turn over money she may personally owe Herbert to it can be turned over to LDNX.
The music label has been trying to collect $380k from Herbert and he was also found in contempt, along with Lady Gaga, Remy Ma and Interscope Records.
LDNX won the judgment against Herbert but claim that he hasn’t been paid a dime and are trying to determine the sources of his income, so they can seize the money until the debt is completely paid.
The music label accused Remy and Lady Gaga and Interscope for failing to provide accurate answers to the information they demanded.
Lady Gaga turned over the requested information and LDNX is no longer seeking sanctions or contempt against her.
