Faith Evans Pantsuit Perfection At The 2018 Soul Train Awards Was Created By Black Women
Faith Evans attended the 2018 Soul Train Awards and received the ‘Lady of Soul’ Award. The crowd (and viewers) were blessed with a performance by the songstress.
The blonde bombshell posed on the carpet wearing a black embroidered suit paired with a black corset bodice. She wore a jeweled Deepa Gurnani belt and had some serious drip around her neck courtesy of Peter Marco.
Pantsuits have been trending for a few years now and shows no sign of slowing down as women continue to take power. Red carpet moments are for more than just fashion with stars opting to talk politics, missions that are important to them, and simply just signaling strength to other women through their personal style.

Evans was styled by legendary hip-hop stylist Misa Hylton who posted a couple photos from the look. We spoke with designer Kimberly Goldson who gushed, “Seeing Faith perform and receive her Lady of Soul award while wearing our suit, is a definite highlight for the Kimberly Goldson brand.” I love that Misa Hylton was thinking about black designers when she put together this ensemble for the singer and actress. Goldson revealed to Madame Noire, “We heart Misa Hylton to pieces so when she contacted us – and for the legendary Faith Evans – it was a no brainer!”
The on-trend suit is perfect for the holidays and you can shop it on KimberlyGoldson.com. The suit is velvet embossed and the tuxedo jacket has a shawl collar ($498.00, KimberlyGoldson.com) and the boot cut trousers ($298.00, KimberlyGoldson.com) look great paired with the jacket or even a simple black button down.
