Cardi B is very upfront about her less-than-glamorous beginnings in the Bronx and loves to take trips down memory lane.
She recently went back to her old elementary school in the Washington Heights section of Upper Manhattan and paid her 1st grade teacher a surprise visit, TMZ reports. During lunchtime, she did an unexpected visit to her old stomping grounds, P.S 128. She showed love to her old teacher, Yvette Coporan, who was all smiles and happy to see her former pupil. Of course the “Taki Taki” rapper posed for pics with the students as well.
It’s no surprise that she paid her old teacher a visit. The Bronx spitter loves going home and visiting her old neighborhood and neighborhoods alike as well as showing love to people she holds near and dear to her heart. When temperatures dropped in NYC in October, she participated in a coat drive in Brooklyn and handed out coats to residents who waited for her willingly in frigid temperatures.
The former Love & Hip-Hop star recently bought the no. 1 woman in her life, her mother, a house, something that she said she has always wanted to do.
“Last year I was so thirsty to buy my mom a house but the ones I was interested for her weren’t at my price range. I worked and worked and now I’m here !!” she wrote on Instagram under a video of her showing off her mother’s new mansion.
The “Money” rapper’s star is continuing to rise as a force not only in hip-hop but in fashion. Her FNxCARDI line with Fashion Nova sold out within a day of its launch. Luckily, the 83 styles have been restocked.
