Michael B. Jordan Is Not Dating Lupita Nyong’o, But He Loves Her To Death
There was a light that sparkled in each of their eyes during all of their interviews as they affectionately spoke about the movie and the camaraderie of the cast.
Fans of both of the talented stars speculated that perhaps there was something electric going on between the two. But Jordan just told USA Today, that the vibes are all platonic.
“They’re writing their own soap opera that they want to see happen,” the 31-year-old said of the rumors. “Me and Lupita? I love her to death. Beautiful girl, very talented. People write their own narratives — I don’t have any control over that.”
Jordan has now humbly accepted his status of sex symbol, telling the site, “It’s something you get used to. It’s a humbling thing when people care about you.
The ‘Creed’ actor’s dating preferences have come under fire in the past, with many detractors blasting him over the summer for yachting in Spain with a boat full of white women. But according to Jordan, he doesn’t have any criteria for the type of woman he wants to date.
“I don’t have any preferences when it comes to that, honestly,” Jordan told USA Today.
“It’s just (about) finding someone who can relate to what I’m going through and can understand what’s going on. All the regular boxes that anybody would want to check off, count me down for those. I’m not really excluding anyone.”
