After a holiday that encourages indulging in your favorite treats, from pies to rice and gravy, stuffing, dinner rolls, alcohol, egg nog and more, it’s time to reel it in again, sis.

If you have certain goals you’ve been trying to reach or work you’ve done that you’re looking to maintain, a food-filed holiday can set you back a bit if you throw your discipline out of the window. We go crazy in the kitchen and for some, it sets off a spiral of overeating that leaves us starting the new year with another new set of resolutions about slimming down. In surveys, people have said that between Thanksgiving and Christmas, they gain five pounds. While the occasional satiation of one’s holiday cravings is just fine,  don’t let it leave you lazy and let it throw you off course.

“It’s worth keeping in mind that you’re going into a four-day weekend full of leftovers,” said Craig Primark, M.D. in a chat with Health last holiday season. “And four days of eating off track can definitely have consequences, like weight gain or un-programming all of your great healthy habits. It’s about the bigger picture, not the one meal.”

The trick is to get moving again as soon as possible, and when you’re recovering from being turkey wasted, that can sound like quite the task. But if you could use some inspiration to help you go for a walk before all that Black Friday shopping, sign up for a boutique fitness class over the weekend or to just knock out a workout you saw on YouTube, here are a few of our famous favorites who rarely take a break when it comes to their fitness goals. Check out these ladies hard at work to motivate you, and then be sure to switch out the carbs and sweets you scarfed down yesterday for lean proteins and lots of water. Your body will thank you later.
