It’s no secret that Kim Porter’s death has been a terrible loss for Diddy. Not only did they share three children, Christian, 21, and 11-year-old twins D’Lila Star and Jessie James, but they remained close friends after they ended their on-and-off again relationship of 13 years.
Diddy broke his silence via social media today (Nov. 18) and paid homage to Porter with footage from an Essence cover story video shoot.
“For the last three days I’ve been trying to wake up out of this nightmare,” he wrote. “But I haven’t. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you baby. I miss you so much. Today I’m going to pay tribute to you, I’m going to try and find the words to explain our unexplainable relationship. We were more than best friends, we were more than soulmates. WE WERE SOME OTHER S–T!! And I miss you so much. Super Black Love.”
Her sons have yet to release a statement or post anything via social media.
Her aunt, grandmother and cousin appeared on Columbus, GA’s WTVM-TV over the weekend and reminisced about Porter and her modeling career. Her grandmother, Lila Mae Star, said she had spoken to Porter the day before her death and she had just seen her doctor.
“She told me she felt better and that the doctor had been to her house and he gave her an antibiotic,” Star said.
Porter was 47-years-old.
