Zoey and her crew will be back for their sophomore year at CalU. Grown-ish has been renewed for a second season on Freeform, Entertainment Weekly reports. Season two is set premiere on January 2nd at 8:00 PM E/T.

The original cast is returning, including Yara Shahidi, Trevor Jackson, Deon Cole, Francia Raisa, Emily Arlook, Jordan Buhat and Chloe and Halle Bailey. Anthony Anderson and Laurence Fishburne, who star on the show’s anchor black-ish, are serving as executive producers.

Yara Shahidi gave fans a sneak peek of what’s to come on season two on her Instagram earlier this week. In the clip, Zoey admits that her freshman year had more downs than ups, and now thinks that the hard part is over and that her sophomore year will be a breeze. As we all can assume, she is sadly mistaken.

When grown-ish first premiered, it set a record for ABC. The premiere had 1.56 million viewers tuned in, giving it the highest ratings for a comedy on ABC in almost six years.
