TMZ cameras caught Ashanti right before she jetted out of LAX on Thursday to get her thoughts on 50 cent’s incessant trolling after a college failed to sell out tickets to a scheduled concert for the singer.
But the Ashanti seemed to be in good spirits, and had a few jabs for 50. “Officer Curtis better cut it out,” she said with a laugh. The nickname is a hit towards 50 who essentially hates it because it implies he’s a snitch on the streets.
“I mean it’s obvious that it was a lack of promotion, the school put out a statement to clarify that it was a lack of promotion and that they should’ve never did it, but you know, no hard feelings.”
When the TMZ reporter asked if she believed 50 Cent to be a bully, Ashanti replied that he “definitely” is.
Last weekend the Braveheart singer was scheduled to perform at Sony Brook University as the main act for their “Back to the Brook” event. But, the school later cancelled the concert after it was revealed they had only sold 24 tickets. The university then released a statement saying, “As an organization, we do our best to host programs for students while providing diversity and inclusion. However, we have struggled to execute certain aspects. With only a week before the concert, only 24 tickets were sold to students.”
50, who has been embroiled in a years long beef with Ashanti’s Murder Inc. label mate Ja Rule, thought it was the perfect time to turn his attention to Ashanti.
In two now deleted Instagram posts, 50 came for Ashanti and her career.
“Ashanti show cancelled after only 24 tickets sold,” the rapper wrote underneath a photo he posted of Ashanti and Ja Rule. “Wait a minute, I thought I told everybody not to f— with this fool. I want the name’s and social’s of everybody who bought a ticket now. LOL GET THE STRAP.”
But he didn’t stop there. He then posted a photo of the singer with the caption, “Do basement parties then it can still feel like it’s lit. I don’t know what to say. LOL get the strap.”
SMH. We don’t know why this man has so much time on his hands, but it’s good to see Ashanti seems unbothered.
