(Atlanta Business Chronicle) — Atlanta’s struggling office market is back in the national media.

Bloomberg this time puts the spotlight on Atlanta’s overbuilt office market, nothing that “developers put 3.6 million square feet of office space on the Atlanta market from 2008 to the first quarter of 2010,” and that “about two thirds of that space was empty on June 30, accounting for almost 10 percent of all vacancies.”

Bloomberg was citing data from the commercial real estate broker Cushman & Wakefield.

It’s one of several stories in the past 18 months that have highlighted the struggles of Atlanta’s office market. The Wall Street Journal has also written about the problems.
