Janelle Monae’s acting credits continue to grow. After critically acclaimed performances in Hidden Figures  and Moonlight, she is switching gears and stepping into voice acting. The “Yoga” singer will be apart of the reboot of the Disney film Lady and the Tramp.

Deadline reports that the Android will be voicing in the reboot of the 1955 film. Monae’s voice will be behind the character Peg, who is Lady’s best friend. Monae will be voicing alongside her girlfriend, Tessa Thompson, who will be the star of the voice cast as Lady.

Monae will be continuing to act in between hitting the studio and recording new music. The Electric Lady will be voicing again in the STX animation, Ugly Dolls, which she is currently filming. She is also slated to star in Welcome to Marwen, which is scheduled for release in December.

She also has a role in the upcoming biopic about Harriet Tubman, Harriet. It is not clear what role Monae will be playing but shooting will begin this month in Virginia. Leslie Odom, Jr., Vanessa Bell Calloway and Vondie Curtis-Hall are also set to star in the film.

The Detroit native has seemed to always have a thing for acting. Her last album, Dirty Computer, was accompanied by a sci-fi short film that shares the same name of her third solo alum, Dirty Computer.
