Actor Pooch Hall Arrested For DUI With Two-Year-Old Son Behind The Steering Wheel
Actor Marion “Pooch” Hall, known for his role as Derwin Davis in “The Game” and Daryll on Showtime’s “Ray Donovan” was arrested for drunk driving and felony child endangerment last night.
According to TMZ, Hall allegedly let his two-year-old son steer the car because he was too drunk to do so.
Law enforcement said Hall was driving in Burbank around 7:30 p.m. when witnesses told 911 operators that they’d seen a toddler in Hall’s lap, holding the steering wheel. Other reports say that authorities don’t believe the child was actually driving but was sitting on Hall’s lap, unrestrained.
These witnesses watched as the car crashed into another parked vehicle. One witness said he saw the child crying in the front seat. He explained that when he looked into the window, he saw the car seat tossed in the back with other junk around it. It was not installed.
When police arrived, they smelled alcohol and Hall could hardly speak. He was unable to perform field sobriety tests and his blood alcohol level was .25, more than 3x the legal limit.
Thankfully, there were no reported injuries
The two-year-old was released into his wife’s custody at the scene, while Hall was arrested and taken to jail. He is still behind bars on a $100,000 bail and is set to appear in court tomorrow.
The detective assigned to the case has yet to present formal charges but it is set to be reviewed today by the Los Angeles district attorney.
Hall, 41, is the father to four children, including a daughter with cerebral palsy. He and his wife Linda Baptisa Hall, have been married since 1997.
