I don’t know about you, but I am a huge makeup enthusiast. I have a collection that would give Jackie Aina‘s collection a run for its money. I legit have something from nearly any brand worth mentioning. However, there is one brand I was missing and secretly obsessed with until now. Finally, I have added Pat McGrath to my makeup collection!

Pat McGrath is black girl magic at its finest. She is a British makeup artist who Vogue, Instyle, and Allure call the most influential makeup artist in the world. Forget the lie that Forbes published in their August issue about Kylie Jenner being the “youngest self-made billionaire.” Pat McGrath is that chick with her brand being worth over $1 billion. Oh, and did I mention she did it all without being born with a silver spoon in her mouth, celebrity siblings, a father who was an Olympian or a reality show.

I absolutely love lipstick, especially mattes, and that is precisely where my obsession with Pat McGrath products began. I loved the array of colors and how rich they were. I also appreciate the fact that although they were matte, moisture was present because some mattes are so dry, it is a struggle to apply, or once you use the lipstick, your lips feel like sandpaper. Lastly, all of the lipsticks were black girl friendly, but I guess they would be since they were created by a black woman.

The Mattetrance Lipstick Collection consists of 30 shades that are divided into 3 groups; Skin Show (nudes), Colour Blitz (brights), and Vicious Venom (dark). They were like Lays, I couldn’t pick just one, so I purchased four: Faux Pas (a lovely lavender), Antidote (a magenta violet), Extravaganza (a rich magenta), and Deep Void (a blackened purple) have all been added to my collection. Now I know you are probably thinking 4 lipsticks at $38 per tube, that has to have been all she purchased, right? Wrong!

What makeup lover do you know that isn’t here for the glow up? Definitely not your girl, I want my little light to shine and my soul to glow. I felt obligated to purchase the Skin Fetish: Skin Highlighting Trio and I am happy I did! They are without question the best highlighters I own, and I own at least 30 (don’t judge me). The trio is comprised of; Iridescent Pink, Fine Gold, and Bronze Nectar different shades with an equal glow.

I am sure you all want to know what my faves are, but honestly, I love all of them. However, the Deep Void lipstick and the Bronze Nectar highlighter created a lewk I was obsessed with. Not only is it perfect for Fall but it is sexy and fly at the same damn time. Click next to see all the looks I created with my goodies from Pat McGrath Labs.

Tell me, are you a makeup lover or are you all natural like Alicia Keys? If you love makeup, let’s talk, what is your favorite product and brand? Please share your thoughts on these looks and Pat McGrath products.
