It was heartbreaking to watch Sky’s upsetting reunion with her oldest son on Black Ink Crew last year. Genesis was extremely aggressive and understandably upset when meeting Sky for the first time, but nearly a year later, the tattoo artist said she now has a relationship with both of her sons.
“We still taking it day by day but just to have them is, it’s a blessing,” the 35-year-old told us. “They old as hell. They make me look and feel good. They text me every day talking about, ‘What’s up queen?’ ‘Good morning Queen.’ I love that sh-t.”
Beyond working on the mother-son dynamic, Sky said Genesis and Des have also been able to improve their financial situation by appearing on Black Ink crew.
“We working on our relationship day by day and I’m happy they’re getting a check with me now too, you know? That’s all you do this for. You work hard so your family can get paid too.”
Still, the reality stars knows healing in front of hundreds of thousands of people isn’t easy for her boys.
“This sh-t is hard for them so I respect them so much for allowing me in their lives — both of them — at whatever pace that these little n-ggas wanna do it,” Sky said. As long as they allow me in it, I’m like, ‘Bam, what’s up? MILF of the year is here.'”
