For some, weave and wigs can be a relief. If the hair isn’t too much work, it might just be easier to deal with than your own strands. And if you like to switch it up, what better way than to throw on a different wigs here and there?
For Kandi Burruss, opting for wigs and weaves actually became so much of a time and stress saver, that before she knew it, she was wearing them all more often than not. But over the weekend, she decided to go without for one day and let her natural hair breathe. She showed off her own healthy head of hair, expertly cut by celeb stylist Derek Jae, and the 42-year-old received rave reviews:
This isn’t the first time Burruss has let us get a look at her healthy natural hair. Back in 2016, the star took out her weave and said that husband Todd Tucker loved it so much, he wanted her to keep her look natural.
“It took 4 & a half years for @todd167 to see me take out my weave for more than a day,” she said. “Now he doesn’t want me to put it back in. #HealthyHair pic. On set press by @derekjhair #realhairdontcare”
Taking her extensions out and letting her natural hair breathe once a year (or every few years) seems to be the move for Burruss. She also did it in 2015:

We may know Kandi for her long locks these days, but since she’s been on the scene, the singer, reality star has always been a hair chameleon.
