Russell Westbrook And Wife Nina Are Expecting Twin Girls And It’s “Very Exciting”
They’ve since revealed that not only are they having a girl, but they’re having two girls.
The couple announced the news in a video for the Oklahoma City Thunder organization. In the clip, they talked about parenting at Nina’s children’s boutique, The Little Ark, in Oklahoma City. The space offers not only clothing and gifts, but also classes and events for children and their parents. When they spoke about their son and some of his, let’s just say “interesting” habits, they spilled the piping hot baby tea.
“There will be two of them, we’re having twins, so if Noah gets out of hand, they’ll both be able to jump on him at the same time,” said Nina.
“It’s obviously something that’s not normal, but it’s something that’s very, very exciting for us,” Russell said. “I look forward to having two girls, that’s exciting in itself. But just being able to be blessed to have more children is a complete honor and blessing to start there. After that, as parents, I think we can take care of the rest. We’ll be fine.”
While it will likely be a lot to have two newborns and a toddler in the house, for Russell, as a family man, he hopes to show his girls what he has shown Noah — that they come before any and everything else for him.
“Family is always the most important thing for me, regardless of what I do,” he said. “It’s important that Noah knows I’m his dad first, not a basketball player or anything else that I do. That’s the most important part to me, to make sure that being a father, a husband and a family man is more important than anything else.”
The baby girls are due in the fall.
