Terry Crews Posts Apology From Former Hollywood Exec Who Allegedly Groped Him
Terry Crews has been very forthcoming about his year-long battle to tell the story of what transpired between him and former Hollywood executive Adam Venit. Last October, Crews revealed that he had been sexually assaulted through a series of tweets. Months after, Crews filed a lawsuit against Vent. And then earlier this year, after several people questioned his “masculinity,” Crews even explained why he didn’t fight back when Venit grabbed his genitals. Somewhere in the midst of this Crews also took the time to scold Russell Simmons, another man accused of sexual harassment and misconduct, after he told Crews to “give [Venit] a break” for assaulting him.
And now that Crews and Venit have settled their law suit, Venit issued a letter of apology to Crews. After the back and forth, Crews published the letter on Twitter. You can read it below.
Clearly, Venit was strategic and intentional with his wording, making sure not to admit to any specific acts. But you can’t apologize for something you didn’t do. We already know what’s up.
As Crews’ tweet notes, Venit resigned from the WME agency earlier this month. There’s a good chance that it might have been a part of the settlement–along with the apology.
