This Mini “Sister Sister” Reunion Made Our Hearts Melt

September 13, 2018  |

The gang’s all here…well sort of!

It looks like the cast of Sister Sister is back in full effect, but…not in the way you might think.

Actror Tim Reid posted an image of his castmates, Tia Mowry Hardict and Jackée Harry as they huddled together between shots on the set of their new movie.

“It only took 18 years, but what great fun to once again work with Jackee and Tia,” Reid wrote. “Missing Tamera. Shooting in Salt Lake City, and the film is called, ‘Family and Faith.'”

The trio worked together on the hit ABC show, playing a blended family joined together by two identical twins who discover each other during a trip to the shopping mall. The show ran for five years from 1994-1999.

Reid played patriarch, Raymond Earl “Ray” Campbell, while Harry played the matriarch, Lisa Landry Sims. Tia and Tamera both kept their first names but took on their adopted parents last names for the title roles. Singer and actor Marques Houston played the next door neighbor that everyone loved to hate, Roger Evans.

No word on when the movie will air or on what network, but from the styling and title, we can assume it will hit this holiday season. Either way, it’s amazing to see everyone back together and in good health. After the Destiny’s Child mini-reunion between Beyonce’ and Letyoya Luckett this week, our 90’s dreams are slowly coming true.

Tia, Tamera and Jackée have all been vocal on the prospect of a reboot, but for now we may have to wait a tad bit longer than expected.

“We have the writers. We have everything. Everything is in place, so we’re going to be taking meetings in the next few months, so we’ll see,” Tia said in a January interview with US Weekly.

All that’s missing in this photo is Tamera and Marques and our Sister Sister dreams will finally be complete!
