Kanye Apologizes To Drake On Twitter & Made Us Wonder Why He Couldn’t Do This Over The Phone
Kanye West aka Yeezy may need to take it a bit easy as of late. The rapper and fashion designer set Twitter’s notifications off on Wednesday after he posted a series of early morning message to his former friend turned foe, Aubrey “Drake” Graham.
Yeezy tweeted Drake’s Instagram photo showing him on stage with a super-sized scorpion during his current tour with the Migos. “Sending good energy and love to Drake and family and crew. I haven’t seen the show in person but the images look incredible online,” ‘Ye wrote. Now you know Kanye loves a good visual.
“I understand where the confusion started,” he continued.
A short recap for those who have no idea what’s going on.
The two have been involved in a bitter public rap beef since the spring, one that also involved Good Music President and Virginia rap gawd, Pusha T. Everything went belly up after Drake mentioned the name of Pusha’s then-finance’ Virigina Williams in one of his lyrics. Pusha then decided that all bets were off and revealed that Drake made music off the back of his alleged ghostwriter, Quentin Miller. Pusha also went full apes**t and unveiled that Drake was the father of a bouncing baby boy name Adonis in “The Story of Adidon.”
Insiders close to Drake believed that Kanye may have been the source of airing out Drake’s baby laundry to Pusha, who used it as the ultimate revenge in the diss track.
And things got even crazier when Drake released his latest album Scorpion where he took direct aim at Kanye and Pusha in several songs including “8 out of 10,” “I’m Upset,” and “Mob Ties.”
But things went next level this week after Kim Kardashian squashed rumors that she and Drake were involved in an extra-marital affair–thus brining us to back to Kanye and his Twitter apology.
Kanye says the beef may have derived after he made the announcement that most of his G.O.O.D Music artists were dropping full albums every Friday during the month of June–which directly impacted Drake’s June 29 release date.
‘Ye also said that he did not listen to the music but heard quotes from both singles and after past comments on Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose’s son Sebastian a few years ago, Yeezy said he was out of the baby naming business.
Kanye wants Drake to know that he will be coming to a show within the next week to make his apology known. And we will be checking social media for those pics.
Like we just said about Peter Gunz and Amina Buddafly, some things are better left said in private, instead of on the internet. But hopefully this will get Drake’s attention as we know he reads everything on the internet that mentions his name. We’re always here for a reunion and a bromance, so this is essentially a two-for-one deal.
