There’s an eau de cornball that celebrities such as singer Bobby Valentino and rapper Tyga can’t shake for whatever reason and it’s probably because every time they open their mouths, a whole lot of nonsense comes out. The former Young Money artist called into his old label mate’s Nicki Minaj’s Beats1 show Queen Radio on Thursday to talk music industry struggles and his former relationship with Kardashian sibling, Kylie Jenner. The rapper boldly claimed that he’s responsible for Jenner’s relevance and the reason why black people love the new mom and beauty mogul:

“You need black people to f**k with you cause you need culture.”

“I had a lot to do with all that…She always had a platform and she was always destined to be what she was going to be regardless, but, when I stepped in, there was a lot of codes being taught. It was like, you could do this, you should start this, you should start doing your hair like this.”

He also shared that he’s the reason your lip gloss is poppin’ and was apart of the creativity behind Jenner’s profitable Lip Kit collection:

“I don’t need to go online and tell people I did this and I’m the one helping her coming up with these colors and names on her…lip line.”

“It was a lot of stuff.”

Where do I begin, Mr. Tyga? The fact that people know you more for riding the Kardashian coat tails than any of your songs speaks volumes. Also, we’re assuming a lot of things here, namely that black people f**k with Kylie all that much or that we even f**k with you (I feel some Big Sean lyrics brewing here). I mean I get, it: Kylie is surrounded by a entourage of color including her child’s father Travis Scott and her BFF Jordyn Woods, but regardless of how many NBA players or rappers that family dates it STILL doesn’t mean they’re getting an invitation to the cookout and that what Tyga fails so egregiously to see. You basically just stated that you were her lead pilot on Appropriation Airlines, and frankly, Lil’ Tigger, I am not impressed.

VIBE points out the whole interview might be a part of the slightest bit of shade Minaj threw Scott’s way since the rapper’s AstroWorld album beat out Minaj’s latest release Queen on The Billboard Top 200 chart. When Tyga was asked about his feelings towards Scott, who also has a child with Jenner, he shares there’s no bad blood between them, despite the fact that Tyga dated Jenner in a very high-profile relationship for years:

“We ain’t got no beef. It’s his time right now.”

“You gotta let it ride. I ain’t got no beef with him.”

He also shares he’s moved past the relationship:

“I’m not a bitter person. That’s like, if we break up, we break up.”

“We had a good time and we kept moving. You know, we went our separate ways, and we both are doing good, you know what I’m saying?”

Minaj had previously expressed on social media that she believed Scott’s association with the Kardashian family was behind his publicity and sales. On the radio show, however, she cleared up that she has no issues with Stormi’s mom:

“I f— love Kylie and that’s never gonna change,” she shared. “It’s obvious she got to ride with her man — why the f— wouldn’t she? We’re not going to make this something this is not. She’s not done anything wrong.”

I’m starting to understand why Drake distances himself from this mess.
