Congratulations are in order yet again for one of our favorite couples, NBA star Russell Westbrook and his wife Nina. In a very laid-back way, fitting of the pair, Nina shared on Instagram that their son, Noah, is going to be a big brother soon.
She broke the news with a picture of baby Noah holding onto her stomach with the caption, “Sunday morning snuggles from Big Brother”:
This is the second child for the couple, who welcomed Noah in May 2017. The UCLA college sweethearts have been married since 2015.
Russell told ESPN last December that being a father truly impacted him and he fears missing out on major moments because of his busy schedule.
“I think the moment we knew we were having Noah was the moment it changed me. For the good, obviously,” he said. “You start to think about the things that best benefit him. Everything in life revolves around him.”
“The FOMO [fear of missing out] is a big thing for me. I never used to have that problem, but I’ve got it now,” he added. “This season we were on the road a lot early. We’d go on a three-game road trip and then come back, then go another five or six games. My wife does a great job of constantly keeping me updated. But that’s my biggest thing — ‘Ah, I’m missing something.’ That’s why when I get home I’m all, ‘Noah, let’s do whatever.'”
And when Noah turned one a few months back, Russell couldn’t say enough beautiful things about his twin, ‘ManMan.”
“A year ago we was blessed with you and you changed my life forever. I’m so thankful to have you as a son,” he wrote on Instagram. Your gonna be a legend ManMan. Daddy Loves You!!!! Happy 1st Birthday Noah.”
Russell hasn’t spoken on this new baby news yet, but considering the way he’s enamored with mini-me Noah, we’re sure he can’t wait for whatever adventures are to come with baby Westbrook #2.
