Donald Trump Doesn’t Support Lebron James, But Melania Does
While Donald Trump found it necessary to insult Lebron James’ intelligence earlier this week, his wife Melania is instead showing him support. After James did an interview with CNN anchor Don Lemon about the opening of his new school in Akron, OH, the I Promise School, Trump tweeted that Lemon “made Lebron look smart, which wasn’t easy to do.”
Melania Trump is not in agreement with her husband at all, and showed support for King James in a recent statement to CNN.
“It looks like LeBron James is working to do good things on behalf of our next generation and just as she always has, the First Lady encourages everyone to have an open dialogue about issues facing children,” read a statement released by her spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham.”As you know, Mrs. Trump has traveled the country and world talking to children about their well-being, healthy living, and the importance of responsible online behavior with her Be Best initiative.”
During his interview with Lemon, the NBA All-star said he would never meet with Trump and that he was trying to divide us as a nation, which didn’t sit well with him of course.
“You know, we are in a position right now in America where this race thing [has] taken over,” he told Lemon. “I believe our president is kinda trying to divide us. He is — I don’t want to say kinda. He’s dividing us.”
