August 2, 2018  |

Eve switched up her long braids for some denim blue hair and debuted it on Instagram. The look is perfect transitional hair from summer into fall and we spoke exclusively to her hairstylist, Angela Christine about how she achieved this style. She revealed to Madame Noire, “Eve has really been loving ash tones. So we started doing ash blondes and we were trying to think of a new color. I suggested a grey-blue and she replied with, ‘Yes! Like denim right?!'”

This out of the world hair color isn’t just your typical grey hair. Angela Christine explained the thought process behind the color, “Eve likes the idea of extraterrestrial hair, she’s obsessed with aliens, lol. So I made some swatches of ash violet blue-grey hues and we settled on two.”

The look debuted for Eve’s LA PRIDE performance. Angela Christine added, “It just worked, so we’ve decided to rock with it for awhile. We both enjoy living in a look and owning it, even though the trend for many has been drastic changes back to back.”

Do you want to know how to achieve this grey-blue look? Angela Christine has you covered. Find out all the product details below.

The roots are a “chocolate golden ash tone,” according to Angela Christine. She kept the roots ash brown using Redkin shade EQ 4N ($10.29, and Redkin shade 6 NW ($10.34,  The blue is a mix of Pravana Chromasilk Vivids Direct Dye Color in Silver ($8.19, and Blissful Blue ($8.19,

Why the two colors? Angela Christine explained, “I love dimension which is multiple hues of the same shade sitting next to each other to create depth in the hair. So some are more silver and some are more blue-green.”

The styling of the hair is very important too. Angela Christine explained the thought process, “we decided to create some textured layers around the face for an edgy but effortless style that she can wear throughout Gumball, her husband’s annual international rally.”

As for keeping her locks shiny and healthy in between washes, Angela Christine is using Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo ($25.00, and Amika Silken Up Dry Conditioner ($25.00, She explained, “First off, it smells amazing, but it also helps prevent and remove oil in the hair, while the dry conditioner adds weightless shine and softness.”
