In the era of reboot none of our 90’s favorites are safe. Nickelodeon has decided to revisit their hit cartoon and franchise “Rugrats.”

According to BuzzFeed, the network is bringing the series back with 26 new episodes and producing a live-action film that will features characters in CGI. The film will hit theaters on November 13, 2020. Given the work that goes into animation, I’d say this has been in the works for some time. This new 2020 CGI release will make it the fourth “Rugrats” movie.

This time around the reboot will include old and new characters and the original creators of our beloved characters Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó and Paul Germain will serve as executive producers.

While we know when the film will premiere, there’s no word on when the episodes will appear on our television screens.

As you know, with reboots it’s either hit or miss. And with something as cherished as “Rugrats,” the stakes are high. See what people had to say about the prospect of a reboot.
