“#MyNewMan”: Steph And Ayesha Curry Welcome A Son, Canon W. Jack Curry

July 5, 2018  |

After two beautiful girls, Steph and Ayesha Curry have welcomed a baby boy into the world!

The couple revealed on social media on the Fourth of July that Ayesha, 29, gave birth to their son on July 2, a little earlier than planned. His name is Canon W. Jack Curry.

“My heart is FULL. God has been too good to us,” Ayesha wrote on Instagram. “Our beautiful baby boy Canon W.Jack Curry 7/2/2018. He joined us earlier than we thought and we couldn’t be more excited and grateful. Family of 5!”

Steph, 30, was also ecstatic about the newest addition to his family:

Canon joins big sisters Riley, 5, and Ryan, 2, who, interesting enough, both were also born in the month of July. Looks like the couple perfectly timed the birth of their children to fit into the NBA offseason. The pair wed in 2011.

And after a rough third pregnancy rife with severe morning sickness and a lack of sleep and appetite, Ayesha has all the more reason to be grateful that she and baby Canon made it to the finish line healthy and happy.

“I️ really feel no different than I️ did in my first trimester. I️ still have nausea, can’t sleep, pee every 5 seconds and am just so darn tired,” she shared on her goinspo site months ago. “I️ have what docs call Hyperemesis. This basically means the nausea, incessant sickness and exhaustion probably won’t go away. The only silver linings here are that my itty bitty baby is healthy and Princess Kate has suffered from the same condition during her pregnancies. Not feeling super royal though.”

“It’s true what they say and I️ am now a firm believer in the fact that every pregnancy is different for every woman!” she added. “This is my third pregnancy and I’ve gotta tell ya, this one has topped the cake when it comes to being tough and exhausting. I️ simply cannot wait to have this baby and feel like ‘myself again’.”
