HelloBeautiful and MadameNoire have collaborated on a brand new digital talk show called Listen To Black Women which discusses the issues that affect us most. In today’s episode we’re asking the question: Why Does The Mental Health Stigma In The Black Community Persist?

At this point, there’s no denying mental health issues in the Black community are still largely ignored and even dismissed as “white people problems.” The question is, in a day and age where the mental and emotional issues we suffer from can’t be denied, why does this stigma persist? In this episode of Listen to Black Women we unpack the issues surrounding our mental health and how we can begin to get the help we need and encourage others to do so.
