Judge Reverses Order, Allows Tyrese’s Ex-Wife To Take Daughter To Israel
Earlier this week, we reported that a judge sided with Tyrese and decided to prevent his ex-wife Norma Gibson from taking their daughter Shayla to Israel.
But the victory was short-lived. According to The Blast, a judge has reversed the order after Norma went back to court and argued that Shayla’s summer break lasts only twelve weeks. As a result, her passport was released so she can travel.
Tyrese’s attorneys stated that the singer was concerned with his daughter’s safety given all of the violence that has taken place in the region due to the relocation of the U.S. embassy. But there is a chance that Norma wants to travel to the region because she and Shayla have Israeli heritage. Other sources believe this trip was Norma’s response to Tyrese’s petition for primary custody. Sources close to Norma say the trip had been planned and wasn’t a reaction to anything.
At the conclusion of the trip, the judge ruled that Shayla’s passport be returned to the court. The judge refused to modify the summer schedule and encouraged the two sides to come to an agreement on their own.
