Many of us are quite familiar with the unhealthy ways of relieving stress: drinking, smoking, lashing out at people, bottling up our emotions. We often think these things will make us feel better, but in the long-term they actually add more mental and physical stress. Stretching, however, is an easy way to reduce fatigue on the body and the mind after a long day, and it requires much less energy and effort than going to the gym (though working out is also a great way to relieve stress).
