Today, the people over at 20th Century Fox alerted us to a cinematic treat that will be making its way to theaters this November. Steve McQueen, the director of 12 Years a Slave and Gillian Flynn, author of Gone Girl, have teamed up for a new thriller, complete with crime, passion and corruption.
Widows, based on the 1983 novel by Lynda La Plante, is a story about four women whose husbands’ criminal activities left a debt behind for their wives. As a result, the four women, Veronica (Viola Davis), Alice (Elizabeth Debicki), Linda (Michelle Rodriguez), and Belle (Cynthia Erivo), take matters into their own hands by collaborating to create a future on their own terms.
The film also costars Liam Neeson, Colin Farrell, Robert Duvall, Lukas Haas, Brian Tyree Henry and Daniel Kaluuya.
