Janet Jackson Called Police On Estranged Husband’s Alleged “Aggressive” Behavior With Their Son
We all know Janet Jackson does not play when it comes to her 1-year-old son, Eissa.
So, when the 52-year-old singer received a phone call from her estranged husband’s nanny on Saturday that he was displaying aggressive behavior toward their son, she contacted police immediately and asked that they perform a welfare check while Eissa was in his care.
And if you think any of this is rumor, it’s not. Janet’s brother, Randy Jackson, told this story exclusively to Entertainment Tonight. Allegedly, Wissam Al Mana, Janet’s estranged husband, was terrifying both the child and the nanny.
Randy said that the nanny was “terrified by [Wissam’s] behavior and locked herself in a bathroom, so she could contact Janet.”
The Malibu County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to ET that police responded to a call shortly before 10 p.m. on Saturday at the Nobu Hotel, where Wissam was caring for Eissa. Thankfully, according to TMZ, authorities found no one to be in danger.
Janet and Qatari business tycoon Wissam married in 2012 and welcomed their son on Jan. 2, 2017. But three months later, it was announced that they had split up and would be pursuing a divorce. For Janet, she’s just focused on successfully co-parenting at this point, and whether Eissa is in her custody or her estranged husband’s, she will do what’s best for the child.
In an interview with Billboard magazine, she expressed how grateful she is to now be able to truly care about the welfare of someone else – her son.
“…let me also say that my son, even in his short 17 months on the planet, has showed me that love, no matter how deeply you believe you have experienced that emotion, can always go deeper. Love is limitless. And for someone like me, raised in show business where self-concern is always a priority, how fortunate I am now to be concerned, first and foremost, with the welfare of someone else,” she said.
