Talib Kweli’s Former Artist Res Says Her Music Wasn’t Released Because She Refused His Sexual Advances

An artist that was formerly signed to Talib Kweli’s Javotti Media record label has took to Twitter to expose his unprofessional practices behind close doors.

In a series of tweets, Res, a soul singer who was a part the group Idle Worship in 2009, said after she refused Kweli’s sexual advances her experience on his label took a turn for the worst. She claims that he tried to kiss her and she refused it. Res also alleged that the Brooklyn rapper has made passes at multiple female artists and when they would not give him what he wanted, he refused to help them jumpstart their careers.
