Aretha Franklin told us a long time ago that sistahs are doing it for themselves. And she told the truth. In addition to leading the way in our community in terms of higher education, Black women are also the fastest growing group of entrepreneurs. And since we’re branching out into what is often uncharted and unconquered territory, we’re going to need the advice, expertise and counsel of other Black women who’ve managed to do the same.
With that in mind, the founders of Uptown Underground Market, are hosting our first panel for Black women entrepreneurs in New York City: From Part Time To Purpose: How To Grow Your Business Into A Passion
During this panel discussion, we’ll discuss how to turn your business into your passion, how to overcome doubt and loopholes, how to grow your business and lastly how to take care of yourself during the ups and downs of being a business owner.
There will also be an opportunity to shop from the speakers and network with other attendees.
The speakers include:
Uchenna and Chioma Ngwudo, founders of Cee Cee’s Closet,
Imani Clark, Image Consultant and owner of Urban Fashion Sense
Marlena Banks, author of Big Idea Food and motivational speaker.
The event will take place in Harlem
213 East 121st Street
New York, NY 10035
on Sat, June 16, 2018
2:00 PM – 5:00 PM EDT
Our goal is for women to walk away with spiritual, practical and professional tools necessary to steadily grow their part time side hustles into their passion and purpose.
