At the very beginning of May, Tia Mowry and husband Cory Hardrict welcomed their second child, a baby girl. And while we don’t know her name and haven’t been allowed to see her yet (Mowry shared that she would debut her daughter on her YouTube show, Tia Mowry’s Quick Fix), we know that this mom is back on the move. She’s recorded a few new episodes of her YouTube series, and she stepped out over the weekend looking like a million bucks after only a couple of weeks as a new parent of two. But the 39-year-old wanted to send a message by sharing a first look at her body after baby. While she hasn’t experienced the quick snapback of some of her famous counterparts, she wanted to remind the rest of us that it’s fine to take your time and appreciate your body for what it will do and has already done.

“This is MY #postpartum. Two weeks in. Do I still have a belly yes. I actually look like I’m 4 months pregnant and that is OKAY,” she wrote. “I wanted to shine a light on how our society creates false expectations after a woman gives birth. Ladies, it’s okay that our bodies are not PERFECT after our babies are born. Give your self time. Go at your own pace. Don’t allow people to put a time limit on YOUR body. You’ve just accomplished a miracle! #Love yourself, love your new body, embrace it. It [sic] you want to make changes than [sic] that’s your desire and no one else’s. Ps, #moms freaking rock!”

Mowry has always been an outspoken body positivity advocate, no matter what size or circumstance. As she said in 2016 to SELF about moving away from the idea of perfection and embracing reality after giving birth, “I’m who I am, and I just want to encourage moms to embrace those changes. Those changes didn’t happen in vain. We all go through cycles. That’s life. We don’t have to be perfect, so embrace your imperfections.”
