Bambi And Scrappy Find Out Gender Of Their Baby With The Help Of A Drumline
Stars are getting in on the gender reveal fun.
When Tia Mowry revealed that she was having a girl with fans, she put the gender color (pink) in a cake she cut on her YouTube show, Tia Mowry’s Quick Fix. And over the weekend, Love and Hip Hop Atlanta star and rapper Darryl “Scrappy” Richardson, along with wife Adiz “Bambi” Benson, found out the gender of their baby in a way that incorporated something they both love — music.
The pair, along with all of their family and friends (Yes, Momma Dee was there, too) came together to find out the gender with the help of the Atlanta Drum Academy’s drumline. Colorful powder was put on top of some of the drums, and when Scrappy and Bambi and company turned around to see that the powder was blue, they had a very emotional reaction:
This is the first child for Bambi, who waited to share the news that she was expecting at 20 weeks after the couple suffered a miscarriage in the past. Part of the pair’s emotional response at the gender reveal is due to the fact that Scrappy already has daughter Emani from his relationship with ex Erica Dixon. Now he will have the chance to see what it’s like to father a boy.
We’re loving all of the joy expressed during the occasion, especially for Bambi, who has been sidelined by some rough morning sickness during this pregnancy.
As she wrote on Instagram about it, “If you see me outside it’s because I have to be, so don’t take a pic of me looking a mess please. I’m not looking fine and slaying no pregnancy, it’s obviously slaying me #icantevenswallowmyownsaliva.”
Despite all of that, she’s glowing.
