Loni Love Says Key To 30-Pound Weight Loss Was Taking Her Time, Not Looking For “Quick Fixes”

The Real co-host Loni Love recently revealed that during this season of the Emmy-winning talk show, she’d managed to drop 30 pounds. She informed fans of this on her Instagram by using a side-by-side picture of herself at the 2017 Emmys and another of herself at the recent 2018 event. The difference was quite noticeable.

“I will continue to take my time and focus on my health,” she said of her progress, “here is to 2019 and working on losing another 30!!!!”

This week on the talk show, Love discussed what really helped her have the weight-loss success she’d been working at for some time, and that was choosing to stop looking for quick fixes, and instead, taking her time to figure out what works and what doesn’t.

“I just want to say to people out there that are struggling, whether you’re trying to gain weight or you’re trying to lose it, take your time,” she said. “It is no quick fixes. This summer I plan to concentrate on losing another 30 pounds, because the mistake I made last season, Season 4, was that I did a fast and I lost 50 pounds really fast. I ended up gaining about 70 because I didn’t do it healthy. Then the summer before this season I said, ‘You know what? I’m going to do something different. I’m going to take my time, I’m going to watch my portions, I’m going to exercise a little bit more and try to change my lifestyle.'”

And her efforts have certainly benefited not only her, but also her lucky and hungry co-hosts.

“So now when I go out to eat, because I used to eat all the food, now I don’t,” Love said. “I share half a plate with Tamera over there. So we’re saving money and I’m losing weight. So I tell people, just take your time. Take your time.”
