Usher Asks Judge To Seal Court Documents In the Quantasia Sharpton Herpes Case
When Quantasia Sharpton revealed that she was suing Usher for exposing her to herpes, very few people took her seriously. She has a history of scamming and whether it was fat shaming or Usher’s past partners, people didn’t believe Sharpton was his type.
But in the months since we first learned about Quantasia, she has not backed down. Her suit against the R&B singer still stands. She claims she has evidence. And now, a recent request from Usher to conceal legal documents has some people reconsidering the fact that there might have been a romantic interaction between the two; but also the status of Usher’s health.
According to our sister site Bossip, Usher’s lawyer has filed a motion asking a judge to bar his responses to Sharpton’s demands for evidence.
As we reported, Sharpton sued Usher last year for emotional distress, claiming her exposed her to herpes during a sexual encounter they had in Atlantic City, NJ. Sharpton has never tested positive for the disease.
Usher argued that his responses to Sharpton would identify another woman, who also claimed Usher exposed her to the disease, and reveal her medical records.
Usher also claims that the papers contain super secret information that is not meant to the public and certainly not the media. Usher insisted that if his responses were made public, it would violate an order that he, Sharpton and the anonymous woman have agreed to. He argues that the confidential nature of his information overrides public interest.
A judge will hold a hearing next month to decide on the matter.
