Nas And Kelis Settle Their Custody Agreement…Again
We’ve been going back and forth with the ongoing custody battle between rapper Nas, Nasir Jones, and Kelis. First, Nas alleged that Kelis was keeping their son from him.
The two settled it and eventually reached what looked like a very detailed and well-thought out schedule.
Then Kelis requested additional child support from Jones believing that his financial situation had changed and she was entitled to more than the $8,000/month she was receiving.
Given his investment in “Ring,” a company recently purchased by Amazon, she’s not wrong. But her request for additional child support apparently caused an issue with their custody situation. And the two had to iron out additional details.
Apparently, they’ve been able to do it.
According to TMZ, the two will now share joint custody of their son 8-year-old son Knight. The two will share joint physical custody, with specific days broken down to which parent gets the child on each holiday.
For example, Nas will have Knight on Father’s Day and Kelis on Mother’s Day. They’ll alternate Knight’s birthdays with Nas getting him on even years and Kelis on odd ones.
