Tyra Banks Does Not Want Her Son Following In Her Footsteps
Tyra Banks is one the most celebrated models who has been able to cross over into acting producing and even having her own talk show for a few seasons. However, the America’s Next Top Model host and creator is hoping that her two-year-old son, York, does not follow in her footsteps.
“I wouldn’t love for him to model, but I wouldn’t tell him ‘don’t do it’ because then he’d do it more,” Banks told US Weekly. “I’m going to support what he wants and just hope it’s not modeling, but if it is, I’ll be telling him how to smize.”
Banks explained that she does not want her son to just be an accent for female models’ photo shoots when he grows up.
“Male models, I don’t know if they have the careers the female models tend to have. The female models tend to joke and go, ‘They are our accessories. I have on earrings and some shoes, and I have a male model in the shot.’ You know, that’s kind of what the girls tend to joke about.”
Whether York models or not, his mom says he is smarter than the average two-year-old.
“He speaks Spanish, Norwegian and English. He’s a smart one. But he’s still crazy and damn near rolling on the floor and not listening to me most of the time.”
