After having more than 40 percent of the pellets from her past butt injections removed, K. Michelle is feeling more like herself again, and showing off the results of her recent surgery.

The 34-year-old singer shared a few pics this week of her new look, and it’s clear that she’s still curvy. But this time around, she’s embracing the imperfections. “No edit. Just some tiger stripes,” she wrote. “I’m cool with that!”

As previously mentioned, K. decided to go forth with the removal due to the fact that her health was being impacted. The pellets from the injections had seeped into the area around her buttocks and swelled in size. This foreign substance helped to give her the look she was initially known for, but eventually caused the star a lot of trouble.

“‘Wow, I really thought I was like poppin’,” she told Dr. Oz during a recent visit to his show. “I was like, oh yeah, I look good. I look so good. And I did it so many years ago. I did it about, what, four or five years ago. And I didn’t start to feel any pain or have any issues until like a year ago. And my health just started to decline and go down and I ran all types of blood tests, everything. Doctors were really trying to figure out, you know, what was wrong with me. And I had seen some stories of a lot of women, who were going through the same thing and it was like discoloration. It was pain in your back. It was migraines. It was super discomfort. I took the stats and I’m like I know what this is. It’s like you always have this intuition, where you know you might want to ignore it. But I couldn’t ignore it anymore and it just wasn’t worth it.”

She’s now healed up, back to working out, performing, and as you can see, being fully comfortable in her own skin.
