Yesterday, we reported that Tiffany Haddish signed a deal with Netflix to provide her voice for their new series Tuca and Bertie. You may also remember that during her plea for a boycott, Mo’Nique mentioned that if she accepted Netflix’s lowball offer, it would have made it that much more difficult for Tiffany Haddish and other upcoming comediennes to get what they’re worth.

Someone on Twitter ran with this logic afterward, in light of Haddish’s announcement.

Haddish responded.

Afterward, Mo’Nique jumped into Haddish’s mentions to extend her well wishes.

Later, the actual figure or the speculated figure was released. Apparently it’s $800k. In response, someone tweeted.

Interesting.

The Tuca and Bertie series details the friendship between two 30-year-old bird women who live in the same building. While Tiffany will take on the role of Tuca, Bertie has yet to be cast.

Now that Haddish is making headway, hopefully she gets those millions next time.
