Still Clueless: Actress Stacey Dash To Run For Congress In California

- By

Oh, boy. Just what we need, another literally “clueless” person entering politics, and it’s none other than no one’s favorite Stacey Dash.

According to CNN, actress Stacey Dash filed paperwork yesterday to run in the 44th district of California as a Republican candidate for Congress. The 51-year-old teased the notion of running earlier this month on Twitter with, what appears to be, a mock logo of a button she would probably be sporting while campaigning, writing that some people suggested “online and “off” that she run for political office (I’d like to talk to a manager about this).

As each year passes, Dash swims deeper into delusion. And now, she’s clearly reached a level that can only be unlocked with secret codes. In her mind, she is the perfect candidate for the 44th District, which happens to include Compton, Watts, San Pedro and North Long Beach. How Sway? Everyone knows that those areas are predominately Black and Brown communities, people that Dash does not speak for although she herself is a woman of color. Shall we go down memory lane?

Back in 2016, the Honor Up actress wanted to abolish BET and The NAACP Image Awards, claiming that they contributed to segregation in this country.

“Either we want to have segregation or integration,” she said on Fox News, who is Bajan, African-American and Mexican. “And if we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the Image Awards, where you’re only awarded if you’re Black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It’s a double standard.”

Not only that, she said that Black History Month should be axed, and she had some nasty things to say about President Barack Obama. I mean, who does this woman this she is? Well, since she said that some people “online and off” encouraged her to run for office, I’d like to let her know that plenty of other people “online and off” would like her to have several seats.

So, what are your thoughts? If she really does run, do you think she would win?
