Throwing away food never feels good, but some items are just too ambitious. You buy them with the greatest intentions, but the reality is that they require defrosting, seasoning, well-monitored oven times, and searing. If you’re really busy, you don’t really have the time or attention spans for foods that require a lot of, well, attention. But you also shouldn’t be limited to expensive delivery, inconvenient takeout, or unhealthy fast food, all because your schedule is literally filled up to the last minute before you go to sleep at night. If that sounds like you—if being just five minutes late for something could ruin your entire day—then you need to know about some food hacks. There are some items that are just powerhouses of nutrition, almost ready-to-eat out of the fridge (if not ready to eat), and won’t totally bore you. Here are foods to stock if you’re insanely busy.
Homemade dressing in bulk
