The breakup between Jeannie Mai and her husband Freddy Harteis is still a bit of a mystery to me.
I know there was the baby thing and her explanation about them living separate lives. But there seemed to be another missing piece.
And while the most recent development doesn’t answer the question of why the two decided to divorce, it’s another interesting piece of the puzzle.
Over the weekend, Harteis attended the Western Hunting and Conservation Expo. While there, he ran into Donald Trump Jr. For most of us, this would have been a cue to step aside. But Harteis took a picture with Trump Jr. and shared it on his Instagram page, with a “thank you.”
Chile.
Like I said, I don’t know Jeannie Mai’s reasonings but this right here is enough to justify a divorce in my opinion. This picture wasn’t taken before Donald Trump was placed in office, before we saw all the atrocities that have happened on his watch, this is more than a year into his tenure as President. Atrocities like the whole investigation of collusion with Russia, the Muslim Travel Ban, his plan to deport Dreamers, his disparaging comments about virtually every racial group besides White men and that doesn’t even include his ignorant and infuriating tweets every week.
This picture and the caption are a hot mess.
It’s interesting to think that maybe her husband’s allegiance to Donald Trump is what initially influenced Jeannie Mai to take the hosting gig for Miss USA back in 2015. Ultimately, after Trump’s comments about Mexican immigrant being drug dealers and rapists, Mai decided to bow out.
But from the photo and the MAGA caption, Harteis doesn’t see a problem.
Yikes.
What’s even more interesting is that commenters are noting the fact that fellow “The Real” co-host Adrienne Bailon and Tamera Mowry-Housley’s husband, Adam Housley, also liked the post.
