ICYMI: Cosmetics Company Names Their Black Nail Polish “Thick As A N*gg*”

Black people, this is why you have to stop your White friends when they believe they’ve reached the level of coolness needed to say the n-word. Not only is it racially insensitive and no reason for them to say it, it has real-world ramifications, like Wycon, an Italian cosmetics company creating phrases that no Black person as ever uttered in life to sell their black shade of nail polish. In their desperation to use the word, the titled the shade, “Thick As A N*gg*.”

Gross.

And dumb AF. Quiet as it’s kept, Black women wear nail polish too. And the thought of offending us and other consumers with a conscience as a customer base just doesn’t make good sense.

Once the internet blew up, Wycon issued the apology we all knew was coming.

Nah.
