Perdue Signs Bills on Tax Reform, Water

(Atlanta Business Chronicle) — Gov. Sonny Perdue signed tax reform and water conservation bills Tuesday, two major issues taken up by the General Assembly during the recently concluded 2010 legislative session.

Under the tax legislation, a special council of Georgia political business and academic leaders – including Perdue – will examine the state’s tax code and recommend changes that will be submitted to the legislature next year for an up-or-down vote.
